The Reach Stylus

The use of touch screen devices for any length of time requires users to hold their entire hand and arm above the screen for an extended period. Traditional touch screen styluses are designed to be held close to perpendicular to the screen. It is little wonder touch screen devices present a significant challenge to anyone with muscle fatigue, grip fatigue, or repetitive motion injury issues. The Reach stylus is our attempt to alleviate these problems.

Made of lightweight anodized aluminum, the body of the Reach is 7 inches long, long enough to often allow the user to rest their hand/arm beside the device while still reaching the central portion of most devices. The Reach was also the first stylus to feature the SALT style tip, a design that allows the stylus to make reliable contact with a screen with the body of the stylus held anywhere from perpendicular (90 degrees) to less than 45 degrees relative to the screen. this means that the Reach can be held in a wide range of positions and used with the hand resting or held above the screen.

Likely Users

The Reach was principally designed with individuals that experience rapid fatigue or loss of muscle control when holding a position unassisted for long periods.

Unexpected Users

The fact that the Reach can make contact with a touch screen from such a wide range of angles also makes it an exceptional stylus for handwriting and artistic applications. Anyone that wants to be able to use a stylus more like a pen, pencil, or a brush will find this an excellent choice.
