The Caduceus is a one of a kind stylus designed to be worn on the hand or arm, minimizing or eliminating the need to grip the stylus in the fingers at all.
The body of the Caduceus is made from an aluminum core covered in a vinyl sleeve that allows it to be bent and reshaped many times. It comes bent into a simple intended ‘U’ shape that can be slipped over the hand for immediate use, but the Caduceus shines when the user experiments with changing its shape to fit their needs.
The Caduceus was designed with individuals who experience difficulty holding traditional “pen” shaped styluses but otherwise do not have concerns with arm movement and control. This includes individuals that make use of hand or wrist braces that overly insulate the hand and interfere with touch screen sensors. The 14″ long flexible body can be shaped in such a way as to make contact with exposed skin, making it easier for the touch screen to register contact.
A happy design accident was that the Caduceus is also useful for workers that have to interact with touch screens regularly, even though it would be better not to be touching electronics. Be it food service workers interacting with point-of-sale systems or exterminators needing to interact with work tracking apps on their phones, the ability to wear a stylus on their wrist or elbow can increase productivity and protect screens.
The stylus can be ordered with either the Basic or SALT style tips. We recommend the SALT style for most users, but if all that is needed is simple on-screen button pressing, the basic tip style will suffice.
